Not knowing the Word of God will block our prayers from being heard. Without the knowledge of the Word of God, the prayers we present are weak and ineffective. There are 8,000 promises in the Bible for us. All of them are yea and amen in Christ Jesus. Prayer should not be based on situations, feeling or emotions. Prayer must be based on the Word of God. Plead your case in faith, knowing His Word and knowing His will. In John 15, the Lord said, "Remain in Me and allow My word to remain in you and you can ask whatever you will and it will be given unto me.

II Corinthians 2:10 -11 “Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us; for we are not unaware of his schemes.”
The context of these two verses focuses on an offending person in the Church at Corinth and the fact that, as he has repented, the believers are bound to forgive him/her. Paul says he also forgives that person and he does it in the sight of Christ for the sake of the Body in order that satan might not outwit or get the advantage being fully aware of his schemes. Saints, this is vital to us as believers. As you start this day off, forgive anyone who has offended you. Whether it be a family member, someone on the job, in the church or wherever, forgive that person. Go into this day free from any offense, bitterness, hurt, or anything else that a lack of forgiveness can produce in us. Be free from all of that and you do that by forgiving the person(s) who has wronged you. If you do not, satan will get the advantage and when he has the advantage, he will create even more havoc and destruction. Remember this, “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus has come that we may have abundant life (John 10:10) Hebrews 4:9; 11:1
As we live in the Sabbath-rest that God has provided of us, it is important that we understand fully this rest. Don’t allow tradition to speak to you in this. Allow the revelation of God to come forth in you and the Spirit of the Lord speaks. Those who have ears, hear what the Spirit is saying to the church. This is not simply about dying and living eternally in heaven with the Lord. This is about living here and now in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; that place in Him where we are secure, sustained, provided for and where His peace that passes all understanding keeps our hearts and our minds. Stay in faith, which translates into saying in faithfulness. Don’t allow the enemy to lure you into the arena of sight. You must stay in the arena of faith. The arena of faith is where battles are won. In the arena of sight, which is the natural arena, the enemy dilutes your faith; waters it down. Remain in the arena of faith, battles are won in the arena of faith (Joshua & Jericho; Joshua 6:1ff) We can’t walk and live by what it looks like, We must walk and live by what God has said. You see, the Word is spirit and life (John 6:63). When we live in the arena of faith, we find ourselves, our faith, on trial. James 1:2-4 says we should rejoice when in this arena. Why? Be cause our faith's trial date has come. Our faith is being put on trial. When that day comes, go all the way through it. Let your faith be go through the trial. Faith loves to be put on trial, to be found guilty, being full of belief and when it is, we experience the victory and the vindication. Faith will always throw you into the arena of embarrassment but God loves it and God shows up. Look at the Hebrew Boys thrown into the fiery furnace.. The Lord showed up! Daniel thrown into the lions den…The Lord showed up! Stay in faith. The Lord will show up on your behalf. There is mustard seed faith, great faith and there is extraordinary faith. Which level of faith are you on? (Excerpts from Bishop Carl Smith) Deuteronomy 9:9 Hear, Israel: You are now about to cross the Jordan to go in and dispossess nations greater and stronger than you, with large cities that have walls up to the sky. 2 The people are strong and tall—Anakites! You know about them and have heard it said: “Who can stand up against the Anakites?”3 But be assured today that the Lord your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them; he will subdue them before you. And you will drive them out and annihilate them quickly, as the Lord has promised you.
4 After the Lord your God has driven them out before you, do not say to yourself, “The Lord has brought me here to take possession of this land because of my righteousness.” No, it is on account of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is going to drive them out before you. 5 It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of their land; but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the Lord your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is a powerful message that the Lord gives to Israel as they prepare to cross the Jordan River and take possession of the Promised Land. As we read the scripture, we can take courage as we see what God says He will do for Israel. We can also envision the enemies that we face that seem so much larger, stronger and formidable than we are; yet, we have the promise from God that He will go ahead of us like a devouring fire and destroy those enemies, devour them and drive them out from before us to accomplish what He promised in His Word for us. And, He does all of this, not because of our righteousness but because of His Name sake and because of the wickedness of these enemies. Be encouraged today. The Lord is fighting for you! Rest in Him!
