Meet Bishop Alfred Jackson

Bishop Jackson is the fifth of 11 children born to Frank and Cora Peoples Jackson of Blair, S.C. At age 10, he accepted Christ and was baptized at Gethsemane Baptist Church. He was licensed to preach in April 1976 and ordained in May 1978. He is a graduate of McCrorey-Liston High School, the University of South Carolina and Morehouse School of Religion. He has done additional studies at Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, S.C.
Bishop Jackson has served the Morris Creek Baptist Church in Winnsboro, S.C., and the Fishing Creek Baptist Church in York, S.C. He founded Tabernacle of Praise Full Gospel Church in York, S.C. on April 10, 1997.
Consecrated as a bishop on Nov. 13, 1998, Bishop Jackson served as Bishop of the State of South Carolina for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International until July 2004. That same year, he founded Kingdom Covenant Ministries International (KCMI), where he works with and covers 135 pastors in several African countries. His love for missions has led him to minister in Kenya, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Liberia and the Dominican Republic.
Bishop Jackson is married to the lovely Gladys Foster Jackson of Natchez, Miss. They have one son, Alfred Yesuto Jackson. He loves God, God’s work, and God’s people and senses the call of God on his life to reach the world for Christ, winning souls, establishing churches, laying foundations and assisting the church in understanding the God’s unaltered plans and purposes for His people throughout the ages.
