Jesus Christ came to restore to us the things that were taken away from us by satan and his demons; yes, many times, because of our ignorance and disobedience, we gave him access to us and our "things"; however, those things still belong to us.  They do not belong to satan nor his demons.

Because of the sin of Adam, we inherited a sin nature.  In Adam we all died but in Christ, we all are made alive (I Cor. 15:22).  In making us alive, we must realize that we are not only living but restoration has been promised to us.  God says, in Joel 2:25  “I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten—the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you.”

This is a promise from God that all of those things that have been eaten by things that hopped in our lives, that were stripped away from us or that things that were taken via the enemy that crawled in, He will restore.  And, we must also hear this.

God is not concerned about making us ashamed about our past.  He is not bring up our past sins, our past lifestyles.  He has cast that as far as the east is from the west.  And, this is what the Jesus says about His ministry….

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me; because the Lord hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified…. For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” (is. 61:1-3,7)
