"Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. 22 Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning. 23 When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.
28 The Israelites did just what the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron. 29 At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well. (Ex. 12:21-23, 28-29) Moses and the Israelites trusted God, proven by their obedience to His instructions. God did just as He said He would. If they had not trusted Him, they would have suffered the same plague that the Egyptians suffered. The question for us in this season is, will we trust God? God is faithful and will do awesome things in our lives - healing, deliverance, reconciliation, restoration, breakthrough, advancement, elevation - everything that we seek, but many times in the wrong places because we don't trust God. In this season, we are reminded not to take matters in our own hands because we don't see how things will work out or because we think it is taking too long for things to work out or because things are not adding up to where we think they should. Trust God! Rest in Him! He wants to bring some mighty things to pass in your life but it requires you TRUSTING Him!

Who is our God? The answer to this question provides great hope and help to those of us who live by faith in Him. He reveals Himself to us through His names: Meditate upon His names today:
• Elohim = "God" (plural) as in the Creator (Genesis 1:1). • El Elyon = "God (singular) Most High (Genesis 14:18-20). • El Roi = "God Who Sees (Genesis 16:13-14). • El Shaddai = "God Almighty" or "God the All-Sufficient One"; (Genesis 17:2-3). • Yahweh = found in Scripture as the consonants YHWH, known as the "Tetragramaton" is God's holy Covenant name. The letters form a word or words from the verb "to be" and most scholars translate it as "I AM who I AM" or "I will be who I will be", or "the Self-Existent One (Exodus 3:13-14). • Adonai = "Lord" (Note: LORD, all in capital letters is a substitution out of reverence for God's covenant name "Yahweh (Exodus 4:10-12). • Yahweh-jireh = "Yahweh will provide" (Genesis 22:11-14). • Yahweh-rapha = "Yahweh who heals (Exodus 15:26). • Yahweh–nissi = "Yahweh My Banner...(Exodus 17:16). • Yahweh-mekoddishkem = "Yahweh Who Sanctifies You": (Exodus 31:12). • Yahweh-shalom = "Yahweh is Peace (Judges 6:22-24). • Yahweh-sabaoth = "Yahweh of Hosts" (the "hosts" are the army of angels who serve God): (Psalm 46:7; 22:10). • Yahweh-raah = "Yahweh My Shepherd":...(Psalms 23:1). • Yahweh-tsidkenu = "Yahweh Our Saving Justice": (Jeremiah 23:5-6). Take courage and rest in Him today. He will prove to be everything you need Him to be. Trust Him. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. There is power, breakthrough, recovery, reconciliation, turn-around and victory in trusting in the Lord. Don't tap out when things get difficult and it seems like victory is not coming. Don't get in the flesh and try to manipulate things in your life; continue to trust in the Lord.
5 This is what the Lord says: (Jeremiah 17:5-8) “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the waterthat sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live...." (Deut. 30:19)
Yesterday ended last night. Whatever happened yesterday is over. Make quality decisions as to how you will live your life today. Don't allow any thing to come in and steal your day! Understanding the spirit realm is so important to our success in life. The things that happen in the spirit realm directly affect us daily, in fact moment by moment. If we don’t understand this and don’t understand how to operate, we will be defeated and lose out, not only in the here and now, but also in the world to come.
Daniel 10:12-13 gives us great insight into the spirit realm and the warfare that goes on when we try to advance in God. It also gives us great hope because it helps us to see and know that God does hear us and sends the answers to our prayers. We are not left hopeless and helpless; therefore we should not get discouraged nor should we give up. You see, one of the major ways that satan wins against the saints is that we get discouraged and we give up. Now is not the time for that. Now is the time to press in and pray through for we are not left alone in this. Read the following scripture and hear the Lord as He ministers to you. 12 Then he (the angel of the Lord) said, “Don’t be frightened (afraid), Daniel, for your request has been heard in heaven and was answered the very first day you began to fast before the Lord and pray for understanding; that very day I was sent here to meet you. 13 But for twenty-one days the mighty evil spirit who overrules the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the top officers of the heavenly army, came to help me, so that I was able to break through these spirit rulers of Persia. 14 Now I am here to tell you…. Now, the important thing to understand in spiritual warfare is that God matches power with power. He send Michael, on of the top officers in the heavenly army to fight the mighty evil spirit who rules over the kingdom of Persia. For us today, The Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ Himself, has come to not only answer our prayers but to give us victory in our lives. (John 10:9; Romans 5:1-2) |
"Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers." (Proverbs 11:14 NLT)
